Section 1:	Starting out

-------
Part 1: Getting Back to Town
-------
Once you watch the intro, start maing your way south. Continue along the path and you will start to hear voices calling yuor name. Make you r way around the bend back into the river and pull out the sword. You will see a ghost appear, who says that he was the one calling your name. Make your way back to the bushes blocking your path and cut through them. Here you face your first enemy: the mighty Rabite. Kill him, and coninue along the trail into town. Be sure to fight all of the rabites along the way for some decent experience. Before you progress, I suggest going all the way back to the sword and back to town again, because this will get you to level 3 (and probably a good supply of candy while you're at it).

Enemies:
	Rabite

At this point:
	level 3
	sword level up

Items:
	None

-------
Part 2: Potos Village
-------
Explore the town, and be sure to stock up on items. Also make sure to get a Bandanna. When you are ready, go to the Elder's house in the upper right corner. Suffice it to say that the Elder and Elliott are not to happ that you pulled out the sword. After a brief scuffle, you fall into a pit and face your first real fight of the game, the Mantis Ant.

Boss Fight: Mantis Ant
Strategy: This guy is a real pushover. Just keep hitting him until he is dead. Don't worry about dying, because you get automatically healed if you run out of life. Just keep plugging away and evetually he will fall.

After the fight, the mysterious Knight pulls you out of the hole. He tells you that you need to re-enrgize the mana sword and in order to do so you must visit Luka the Sage. He also mentions that his name is Jema. After talking to him, go and speak to the elder. Despite saving the town, all of the towns people fear you and the Mana sword. Becase of this, the Elder banishes you from the town. Be sure to grab the 50 gp in the Elder's basement. When you are ready, make your way to the south eastern part of town and head out. So begins your quest to repair the Mana Sword.

Enemies:
	None

At this point:
	level 3

-------
Part 3: Seeking Luka
-------
After you leave town, you will see a route to the left. This is a cannon travel location, and Jema has paid your way to the water palace, where Luka lives. I recommend taking the long way, because you can get some good gold and experience along the way.

If you decide to take the long way, go up at the first fork and continue along the path. To the left you can go visit Neko the cat salesmen, who has a good variety of items (though they are a little spendy). You can also rest at his inn if you need to heal or save. Continue to the north. Here you will stumble upon a group of knights, led by Dyluck, that are set out to kill the witch in the Haunted Forest. They go troopin goff through a portal, and you cannot follow them. Go north to reach the water palace.

Inside, keep going up and stepping on the switches to create staircases, until you find Luka.

After talking to her, climb the water pyramid to charge up your sword with the mana seed. She tells you that you need to find Gaia's Navel, home of the Dwarves. To get there, Luka tells you that you must go through the kingdom of pandora. So once you are ready, start heading south towards Pandora.

Enemies:
	Rabite
	Lullabud
	Mushboom

Items:
	50 gp (Elder's house)
	Spear (Luka gives to you)

==========
Section 2: Pandora and the Witch
==========

-------
Part 4: Goblin Feast
-------
When you make your way south towards Pandora, you get ambushed by some goblins. They capture you and haul you off to their village. They toss you in a giant pot and you are to be the main portion of a goblin feast. Out of nowhere a Girl shows up to save you. After saving you, she tells you that she thought you were Dyluck, leasder of the knights you saw outside of the water shrine. When she leaves, start heading east towards a fork in the road. At the fork, go south to reach Pandora.

Once you reach town, feel free to explore and stock up at items at the shop. It becomes apparent that the townspeople are under some sort of curse. A lot of them can't even speak. At this point you can decide wether or not to get the girl in your party. If you decide to not get her, you can skip this section. If you do, go to the northeastern part of town to enter the castel. Make your way upstairs and you will see her in a hallway. SHe demands that you help her defeat the withc in the haunted forest since she helped you escape from the dwraves. Reluctantly you agree, and she joins the party. I like to leave her with the knuckles for a bit so she can get a few attack levles with it.

Continue down the hallway to find the throne room. Insdie is Jema the Knight, who is about to leave on a quest to kill Eileen the witch in the haunted forest. After speaking to him, leave the castle. Be sure to get soem equipment for the girl, because she is pretty weak without it. Make your way west out of Pandra towards Gaia's Navel.

Enemies:
	Rabite
	Lullabud
	Mushboom

Treasures:
	None

At this point:
	boy: level 4
	girl: level 1

-------
Part 5: Gaia's Navel
-------
Make your way north along the path. It is nice to have a lot of healing items for this part because both the Lullabuds and the Buzz Bees can poison you a lot. COntinue along the path until you reach a fork. Head west into kippo village. I recommend fighting monsters around here until you can getg the latest and greatest equipment. ALso be sure to stock up on supplies. WHen you are ready, head out of town and then north.

You can either go left or right, left is quicker but right has a lot more monsters to fight. Head down the stairs and around the circle to get to the two cave openings in the cliff side. In the cave on the right you can find the Shop keeper Neko selling his wares. WHen you stock up head into the left cave opening to head towards Gaia's Navel.

You can decide at this point to either go to the Underground palace in gaia's navel, or go with the girl to the haunted forest. I'm going to go the way to the underground palace, so if you go to the witch's castle skip ahead a bit. Make your way north along the cave path.

Go downstairs and cross the platforms to the left side. Go in the door and activate the switch to cause the water to mix with the lava. This opens a new way to go in the previous room, so start heading that way. Make your way south along the path and head to west along the bend. Go north into the cave, and pick up the Magic Rope. Leave the room and go into the southern door. Make your way around the bend and head down the stairs. Go to the right side of the room and up the stairs. Hit the switch to cause a big rock formation to fall into the room below you, creating a new path. Head to that new path and go through the door to Gaia's Navel.

Gaia's Navel is a town of dwarves. Exxplore the town and head to the upper left corner to find Watts the Blacksmith. He will break the rust off your sword to make it stronger for 100 gp. His hammer becomes energized from tempering the mana sword, and because of this he says that he will make an axe for you. Head out of his shop and to the north eastern side of town. Stock up on new equipment then go up the stairs to the exhibit hut. Inside pay the man 50 gp and then 100 gp. After the show go back into the room and go behind the stage. You will find out they conned you, and get your money back. Now go out back into the main part of town. Here an earthquake starts rumbling, and you get thrown right into a boss fight.

Boss Fight: Punchinello
My Level: 8
This guyshoots pumpkins at you that chase you around and explode if they hit you. he also has tentacles which grow and hurt if you touch them. Heal when necessary and use your charged up sword attack to do some good damage. He will move back and forth across the screen, so make sure you stay close to him so you can attack. Just keep pluggin g away until he is beaten. Overall this boss is not too tough, but make sure to use candys if your health gets low. For defating him yo get a Spear Orb.

After the fight, the sprite decides to join your party. Stock up on supplied in the town, and make sure t get equipment for the sprite. Also be sure to stop by Watts, because you can pick up the axe he made for you as well as upgrade your weapons. You can use Watt's shortcut to quickly leave Gaia's navel. To break the seal to the Underground Palace, you will need to get permission from the Eileen the witch from the haunted woods, so that is where you must head.

Enemies:
	Rabite
	Lullabud
	Mushboom
	Buzz Bee
	Blat
	King Drop
	Kid Goblin
	Punchinello

Treasures:
Magic Rope (Path to Gaia's Navel)
	Spear Orb (Punchinello)
	Axe (Watts the Blacksmith)
	Bow & Arrows (Con Man)
	Boomerang (Sprite)

At this Point:
	Boy - Level 8
	Sprite - Level 1

-------
Part 6: Haunted Forest
-------
Once you leave Gaia's Navel, head north. To the right is a cannon travel that can take you to the water palace or Pandora. It might be helpful to remember this for later. Continue heading north towards the ahunted forest. Eventually you will stumble upon neko the cat again (he loves appearing in useful places), so it is best to stock up and save. Once ready, head through the portal up the staris behind him.

When you step in the portal you will be ambushed by two werewolves who have captured the Girl. Defeat them, and the girl will then join your party. You can use the axe on the skull statues blocking the path to your left, but this route can only be accessed later. So take the right path down and around into the portal.

After entering the new area, kill the Eye Spy, but be careful, as it can moogle your characters. Step on the portal to make a rock platform move. Go back to the previous area and make your way to the portal that went to nowhere earlier. Now the rocky platform allows you to go this route, so do just that.

Make your way north and you will see a post in the ground. Remember seeing Dyluck outside of teh Water palace earlier? This is where he entered the forest. Unfortunetly to use this route you need a whip, so forgot about thsi for now. Head to the left and go through the portal. In this area make your way through the maze until you come upon the next portal. Step insdie to get taken to the Haunted Castle.

The castle has some tough enemies. Right off the bat two werewolves come rushing at you, so be ready. If you find yourself struggling be sure to get the best equipment and a good amount of healing items. Work your way to the right side of the castle and go up and around. When you reach the front door, head inside.

Step on the switch to open the gate and continue north. In the next room kill the Polter Chairs and head upstairs. In this room, head up either flight of stairs and kill the Eye Spys. Head through the left gate to progress (in the room to the right you will only find some Polter Chairs).

In the next room be careful of the warewolves. Once the werewolves are taken care of, head down the stairs to enter the jail. Talk to the stationery soldier to open the doors and free the men. Neko is also here in jail, so make sure to take advantage of him.

Go upstairs and step on the switch to create a brdige. Cross the bridge and go in the door. In this room there are 3 doors yo can go through. The room to the right contains some Polter chairs, and the room the left contains some Blats. After fighting off the monsters, head through the middle door. The path is blocked by a wall, so head north. Step on the switch to move the wall, and then head back to the newly created path.

In the next room, the msic changes. Defeat the Polter Chairs and head up the stairs to meet Eileen the witch. Follow her into the next room. After a brief enounter with her and Dyluck, she opens a cage to let her pet Spikey have some fun.

Boss Fight: Spikey Tiger
My Levels: Boy - 10, Girl - 9, Sprite - 9
When the fight starts immedietly start movning around. The tiger jumps up into the air and crashes down ontop of you, knowcking you unconciouse, so it is best to keep moving. He can also jump onto two platforms in the room, and when he is up there he can cast the spells Fire Bouquet, which lowers your attack, and Fireball, which temporarily paralyses you. If you get close to him, he ill begin munching on you, so be sure to keep your distance. Just plug away at him with your best charged attacks and be sure to heal when needed. He can be kind of tricky so make sure you stay on top of everyone's health. He gives you a Boomerange Orb for defeating him.

After defating him leave the room. Head south and talk to Eileen. She apologizes for attacking you, and gives you two treasures to make up for it. She also says that she cannot open the way to the Underground Palace yet, because she has run out of magic. Once you grab the treasures, talk to her again to be transported outside.

Outside you get a message from Luka, and she wants you to rush to the Water palace.

Leave the haunted forest via that whip you just got and head north to the Water palace. Luka says that the seal over the water palace is weakening, and thus the protector, Undine, ust be in trouble. leave the water palace and head to the east. Fight through the Iffish, and head into the cave. Go north one screen, and you will face the Tonpole. After doing some damage to him, he turns into the Biting Lizard

Boss Fight: Biting Lizard
My Levels: Boy - 11, Girl - 10, Sprite - 10
This guy can cast cure water on himself to heal quite a bit of life. When I fought this guy, he hit me a total of ZERO time! Obviously, this guy is a piece of cake. Just keep wacking away and eventually he will fall. He gives you a glove orb for defating him.

Once the Biting Lizard is killed, head into the door that opens. Inside is Undine, and she rewards your efforts with her poweres. She gives the Girl the ability for heal and defensive magic, and the sprite offensive magic. One of her spells, Cure Water, is one of the most important in the game, so make sure you use it often. She also gives you the Pole Dart.

Leave Undine's cave and go back to the Water Palace. Luka informs you that you can use Undine's power on the orb in the Underground Palace to open the way! So head off to Gaia's Navel.

Part 8: Underground Palace
-------
When you get to Gaia's Navel, be sure to stock up on supplies and visit Watt's the Blacksmith. After stocking up, head to the center of town and into the doorway to the Underground palace. Use the Freeze spell on the orb to get rid of the lava, and head into the next screen. Go the left side and hit the switch, and then go to the right side and hit the switch to remove the torch blocking the path. Go up to the next screen.

Step on the switch to create a bridge. Make your way along the hallway to the gap. Use your whip to cross it. Once across the gap, fight your way north and up the stairs. Upstairs go through the door. Be careful fighting the two Chess knights because they can do a lt of damage fast. Continue through the door. Go down the short hallway and up the stairs.

You appear in the storage room. A Gnome shows up, and he and the Sprite get into a scuffle. Suddenly, the room starts to rumble, and the Gnome disappers. In the next room, the Fire Gigas appears.

Boss Fight: Fire Gigas
My Level: Boy - 12, Girl - 11, Sprite - 11
This is the first time you really get to try out your new magic. Blast him with Freeze, and use Cure Water when your health gets low. When you run out of MP for the Sprite, just use your strongest attacks. He can cast Exploder, Lava Wave, and Fireball, all of which hits every party member, so make sure they are all healthy. he can also change into multiple little balls that fly around until he reforms in a different location. Overall the boss shouldn't be too tough. If you need some help, make sure that Undine's magic is at level 1 for both the girl and the sprite. When he is defaeted you get an Axe orb.

After defating the Fire Gigas, head into the next room. Inside is the second Mana Seed shrine, and the Gnome from before. The Gnome apoligizes, and the Sprite forces him to give his power to your party. The Gnome then takes off, and you should step up to get the power of the Mana Seed.

Receiving the power from the Mana Seed restores the Sprite's memory, and he says that he comes from the Upper land. Use the rope to exit the Underground Palace. Sotck up on supplies, hit up Watt's, and then head out. Finally, it is time to check out Pandora.

Part 9: Ruins of Pandora
-------
When you get to pandora, look near the southern exit for a girl with blue hair named Phanna. She mumbles, like all the rest, but then suddenly disappers. Head south to the ruins. At the ruins, Phanna is standing at the entrance. She exchanges some harsh words with the Girl, and then enters the Ruins. Angry and desperate, the Girl forces her way in. Proceed into the ruins.

Make your way north into the next room, and head down the stairs. Continue through the hallway and go into the south door. Work your way through the hallway and head down the stairs. Head up and into the main chamber.

Inside is Thanatos. He has Dyluck and Phanna held hostage, and he claims that he is unbeatable. Suddenyl, he opens a trap door and you fall into it.

Boss Fight: Wall Face
My levels: Boy - 14, Girl - 13, Sprite - 13
This guy is made up of three different entities: Wall Face, and two Chamber Eyes. The chamber eyes atack you, and the Wall Face is what you need to kill. If you have Gnome up to level 1, this guy is a piece of cake. It took me about 4 hits with Earth Slide to kill him. When he is defeated he gives you a Bow orb.

When he is defeated, you confront Thanatos again. He releases his spell on the townspeople, but then disappers with Dyluck and Phanna still in tow. Look for Jema in the room and talk to him. After speaking with him you will be outside of the Ruins.

Now all of the townspeople are back to normal. Feel free to explore and talk to them. Head to the castle and into the King's chambers. He realizes that what jerma told him is true, you are truly the wielder of the mana sword. he opesn up his treasure vaults to you, so be sure to grab them.

Part 10:	The Scorpian Army
--------
Upon arriving in Gaia' Navel, be sure to visit Watt's to upgrade your weapons. Then head to the center part of town. Jema and the Elder are standing next to a giant hole. Jema informs you that the theives are down below in teh hole, so hop on in.

Inside you land on some sort of ship. One thing that is important to remember is that the only way to escape this place is to use the Magic rope. Make your way down the stairs. In the next room on the right, pick up the whip's orb in the treasure box. Proceed into the next room.

Inside you find three people, and the Mana seed. For breaking in on them, they say that they cannot let you leave, and that they stole the Mana Seed to power their robot, Kilroy. At this point, they leave to power up their robot. Follow them into the next room. Inside is their robot, fully powered up. However, the mana seed proves to be too powerful, and they lose control of it.

Boss Fight: Kilroy
My Levels: Boy - 15, Girl - 14, Sprite - 14
The robot uses his hammer arms to attack you. He can hammer you with them, or do a spin attack that can also moogle your party. When a party member gets moogled, be sure to keep them away because they cannto do anythign. He can also lift up his body to expose a wheel, which makes him much faster. Use the Sprite's magci on him and your strongest attacks. When he is defeated he gives you the Javelin orb.

After beating him the Scorpian takes off, and you recover the Mana seed. Take it back to the water palace at once.

Upon arriving at the Water Palace, it is clear that something is wrong. There are enemies at the entrance and inside of it. Fight your way towards Luka.

WHen you get to where Luka is, you see she has been taken captive by Gesthar of the Empire. He demands the Mana Seed in exchange for Luka's release. Give him the seed. He breaks the seal on the Mana Seed, and you get thrown into the midst of a battle.

Boss Fight: Jabberwocky
My Levels: Boy - 15, Girl - 15, Sprite - 15
The two heads will try to attack you, so it is best to keep a little distance. He can cast Poison Gas and Acid Storm, which can lower your defense. Eventually he will lose one of the heads, and that is a good indication of how the fight is going. Keep attacking him like normal, and he will fall. You get the Bow orb for beating him.

Once he is defated, go up the stairs. Jema and Luka are standing up there, and the soldiers from earlier are no where in sight. Jema informs you that the Empire's forces have been pushed back, and he gives you a Whip orb. Now use your sword to repair the seal on the Mana Seed. Section 3:	Upper Land
==========

--------
Part 12:	Moogle Village
--------
Upon landing, the Boy directs the Sprite to lead on to his homeland. However, the Sprite hits his head on the landing, and loses his memory again. This is the temporary home of the Moogle's. Unfortunetly, you cannot speak to them, because they speak a different language. However, the Sprite tells you that the Pebblers's have taken over their village, and that is why they have me to this Wintery clearing. Watt's has made the journey, as well, and can be found onthe Northern part of town. When you are ready, head to the exit on the south western part of town.

On this screen Spring is in full effect. Here you can find Neko, who has also made the trip. Stock up on supplies and then proceed east. In this screen it is Summer. To the right you can find a Cnanon Travel that can take yo uback to the earlier areas. Do this if you need to heal up or get anything you missed. When ready, go to the north western path to enter the Moogle Village.

Inside you will face the pebblers. Defeat them, and then try to exit the screen. The moogles will return to their village. Talk to any of the moogles, and the Sprite will regain his memory. He says the key to unlock the way is to walk the Seasons from Spring to Spring, so that is what you must do. Stock up on supplies and heal up before you go. Also be sure to grab the treasures.

When you successfully go through all of the seasons, a beep will inform you that you have done it. Head to the riht and go north up the newly opened path. You have arrived at the Sprite's village, however something is wrong. The village is in ruins, and no one is in sight. Suddenly, you hear a monster cry. Head north to see what it was.

Boss Fight: Spring Beak
My Levels: Boy - 18, Girl - 18, Sprite - 18
The Spring Beak is a huge bird. He can cast Thuderbolt, Air Blast, and Silence, and when this happens, be careful to use healing items as you will not be able to heal using the Girl's spells. It took me about 4 hits with Earth Slid level 2 to beat this guy. For beating him you get a Boomerang Orb.

When the monster is dead, head north in the newly opened path. You will arrive at the Wind Palace. Talk to the old man and he will explain what happened to the Sprite Village. He will also bestow the power of Sylphid on you. When he is done talking, restore the seal on the mana Seed. Now follow the old man's advice and head to Matago. Go south out of the Spite village and then to the west.

Using Analyze magic on the orb informs you that Sylphid's magic will work, so have the sprite cast a spell on it. Make your way west to the next area. Head north to the next screen, and then keep going north until you reach the cave. head inside, and go through the next door. Welcome to Matango village!

Enemies:
	Nemesis Owl
	Water Thug
	Silk tail
	Steamed Crab
	Crawler
	Kimono Bird

Part 13:	Matango Village
--------
Matango is home to the Mushroom People. Unlike the Mushbooms, these Mushrooms are peaceful. Explore the town, and you will eventually stumble upon Fung Castle. Here you can find an item shop, so you should stock up. Inside you will also find an inn, and Watt's the Blacksmith. When you are ready, head into the center room of the palace to find the throne Room. Speak with the King, and he will tell you of the Mushroom people's legend. After speaking with him, head upstairs to get a Javelin orb.

When you are ready, head to the south eastern part on the first floor and head out the door. Head up and go into the cave. Make your way north through the mushroom forest and enter the cave opening. Proceed up the stairs into a new screen. Go up and around the path to a gap, and use the whip to cross the gap. Head to the left and go down the stairs. Use the whip to cross the gap, and head down the stairs.

Head up the left path and up the stairs. Proceed left and down the flight of stairs. In this new room, make your wa to the north east corner and up the stairs. In this room you will find a crystal orb. Use Earth Slide on it to cause some rocks to fall down in the previous room. Head back to the previous room and go down the newly created path and down the stairs. Walk into the cave opening on the left to leave the cave. Outside you will be conforonted by the Great Viper.

Boss Fight: Great Viper
My Levels: Boy - 22, Girl - 22, Sprite - 22
The Great Viper will move around kind of sporadically, so do your best to dodge him. His bite attack is pretty strong, and it can cause your characters to become pygmized. Use Sylphid's magic on him. It is a good idea to use Thunder Sword on the Boy to make his attacks do a lot of damage. He shouldn't be too tough to beat, just make sure to use a medical herb or rememdy on your characters if they get pygmized. For defeating him you get a Sword orb.

After defetaing him, make your way north into the new cave opening. Proceed along the path and into another cave opening. Inside, you see what the Great Viper was hiding, the White Dragon. Deciding that he is too young to take on, the party consults with King Truffle. He agrees to keep and raise him, and gives him the name Flammie. He also informs you that the Cannon Travel to the south has openend and a route to Salamando and the Fire Palace has opened. So that is where you must go.

Make your way south out of Matango and then head to the east. Have the Cannon Travel man shoot you to Kakkara, in the Desert.

Part 14:	Sand Ship
--------
When you land in the desert, start making your way north. In this next screen, head to the east. Be careful of the spier legs, because they can trap you in their legs and they can cast level 3 Gnome magic, which can do a decent amount of damage. Work your way south to the next screen. Now, there you have to go in a random order of directions to get to the next area. I went: south, south, east, north, north, west, west. Finally, you see someting to the north. Head north to get to the Ship.

Inside, the guards think that you are spies. Unable to convince them, it seems hopeless. However, their commander comes and talks to you. He likes you, so decides to help. He forces the boy to work in the engines, the sprite to work in the kitchen, and takes the Girl for himself. In the engine room, talk to Sergo, the man that looks like a pirate. After speaking with him, talk to everyone else in the room, then Sergo again. He devises a plan to escape, and the first step is to distract the guards at the door. Go talk to them, and Sergo will start yelling "Fire!", clearing the way. Head up the stairs and out of the engine room.

You are now outside of the ship. Make your way around to the west side of the ship, head up to the upper deck, and then cross over to the east side. Go down the stairs. Walk through this hallway and go through the door at the end to find the Sprite. He has eaten all the ship's food, and the guard's want to get rid of him, so he is free to go with you. Now go back to the outside of the ship.

Head to the south side of the ship and go into the door. If you go up the stairs to the left you can save your progress. Inside, head up the right halway. Talk to the guards guarding the door. The Sprite will yell out that rats have eaten all the food, and the frightened guards will run off. Go into the door. Inside you will find Morie trying to get the Girl to massage his back. Meria, his grandfather will walk in, and tell you to leave. Realizing that you are escapees, though, he calls for the guards.

Suddenyl, the ship starts to shake. It appears that the Empire has boarded the ship, and the guards refuse to defend it. Back outside the ship, it is now swarming with soldiers. Approach Gesthar, who talks to you briefly. Then you are off to play a game with him.

Boss Fight: Mech Rider
My Levels: Boy - 24, Girl - 23, Sprite - 23
The mech rider will stay to the side until one of your characters gets in his way, and then he will charge to the other side, hitting whatever might be in his way. He can also shoot small missles out that seek out your characters, so try to dodge them. He does not have any weaknesses, so just use your highest level magic on him. For defeating him you get a Whip Orb.

After teh battle, you will be back i nthe desert, along with the crew from the sandship. Talk with Meria, and he will realize who you are. He apoligizes for his actions, and remembers what it is to be a true soldier. After speaking with him, talk to one of the normal (Blue) soldiers wlaking around to get on a trasnport ot Kakkara.

It places you in the desert, so just go up one screen to enter the city.

Part 15:	The Paradise in the Ice Forest
--------
In town, stock up on supplies and rest. Watt's is in the upper right corner of the town, so be sure to forge any orbs you might have picked up. The townspeople are struggling because they are running out of water. talk to the man in the center of town, who turns out to be King Amar. He explains that the reason for their troubles is that the Mana Seed in the fire palace has been taken, and so has the keeper of the seed, Salamando. There is also talk about a town in the Ice Country that is as warm as the desert!

Head to the cannon travel on the east side of town and go to the ice country. You arrive in Todo village, right in the heart of the ice country. Fell free to explore the town and talk to the villagers. They too speak of a warm place in the middle of the ice forest. When you are ready, leave the town on the left side and enter the ice forest.

Make your way west through the ice trees and then south into the next area. Here you will find a reindeer that seems to have lost his master. He says that someone is holding him hostage in the Ice Palace. Look in the house to receive a Spear orb. Continue south along the path to the next screen.

Make your way south, and note the cannon travel to your right. This is how you can leave the ice country. However, ignore it for now, and continue along the path to the south. At the fork head right, and keep going into the next screen. In the next screen, head south, and then to the left. At the fork, head north, and continue to the next screen. Suddenyl, a monster will burrow up from the ground.

Boss Fight: Boreal Face
My Levels: Boy - 25, Girl - 25, Sprite - 25
This guy is very similar to Punhcinello from gaia's Navel. However, this time, you have a full range of motion. Each time you hit him he will burrow into the ground. When he reappears, he can show up in any of the four corners, and will let loose an exploding, bouncing pumpkin that will seek out your characters. He has no weakness to magic, so it is best to just hit him with your strongest attacks. He should fall pretty easily. For defeating him you get a bow orb.

After defeating him, you enter the paradise that everyone has been talking about. Clearly, something is afoot here, because there is no snow in sight and everyone is wearing normal clothing. Talk to the man in the center of town and he will put you in charge of the stove that is heating everything up. Open it, and out will pop Salamando, the Fire elemental. He will give you his power for saving him, and the town will return to ice. The Pirates from earlier show up, and blame you for ruining their plans. They claim to know nothing of the Mana seed, however, one of them lets loose some information about seeing an old man when they nabbed Salamando. After they take off head north to investigate.

Make your way north and keep going into the next screen. Here you will find neko the cat. Make sure you heal your guys up here and get supplies, because you will not get another chance for a while. When you are ready, go back to the previous screen and head right at the fork. Go north to ifnd the next screen. Fight your way north and continue to the enxt screen.

Now you will find yourself outside of a castle. Make your way inside, and go to the switch on the right. Stepping on it will remove a wall, and allow you to reach the stairs. Go up them. Defeat the Blue Drop and head into the door. Head through the door on the right. Step on the switch to create a platform, and go up. Inside this room, you will find a Glove orb. Now go back two screens and go into the door on the left. Step on the switch to make a platform, and then go north. In this room, there are two switches and some specters. Step on the right switch to make a door appear, and then go into the door.

Go past the Weepy eye and up the stairs. In this room, make your way through the maze and to the upper right part of the room to find a door. When you enter the next room, a bookshelf blocks your escape. step on either switch in the room to cause the floor to open up, and you will fall down. You land in a room with three tonpoles.

Boss Fight: Biting Lizards (x3)
My Levels: Boy - 27, Girl - 27, Sprite - 27
These guys are just like the one you fought when saving Undine. The only difference is that this time there is 3. The best tactic is to concentrate on them one at a time, so they cannot gang up on you. You shouldn't really need to use magic on them, but if you insist, they are weak to Sylphid's magic. For defating them you get nothing.

After the fight you appear in the room where you fall down, however now you can proceed through an opening. In the next room, make your way around the room to the center, using the whip to cross the gaps. Step on teh switch in the center to be teleported to a new room. In this room, head into the door past the Weepy Eyes. You will enter the throne room. A voice will tell you to leave, but answer No. Now it is time to face the Frost Gigas.

Boss Fight: Frost Gigas
My Levels: Boy - 27, Girl - 27, Sprite - 27
This guy is weak against Salamando's magic, so let him have it. He will cast Ice Saber on your party so that your attacks will do far less damage. Wait for the effect to run out before you try to use normal attacks. He can also cast Freeze on your party, and Freeze Breath, which turns one of your characters intoa snowman. Occasionaly, he will morph into a bunch of small diamonds that float around the room, and you should use this time to heal. When he reforms, keep giving him all you've got. He was a piece of cake with the Sprite's Salamando magic at level 1. For defeating him you get a Boomerang orb.

After defeating him, you find out the Santa Claus was the Frost Gigas. He explains how he wanted to grow a giant Christmas tree using the mana seed, but when he touched it he became the Frost Gigas. For saving him, he gives you the seed. Now head back to the Cannon Travel and go back to Kakkara village. It is time to restore the mana seed.

Part 16:	Fire Palace
--------
Leave Kakkara village from the south. To get to the Fire Palace, head south, west, and then north. Go into the left door, and head downstairs. This room is boiling hot, and it is glowing red. Analyze the orb, then use Salamando's magic to make the lava disapper. Proceed up the stairs. In this room go all the way to the left and then down. Grab the treasure (1000 gp), then go back to the last screen. Go up the stairs in the middle.

In this room, use Salamando's magic on the orb to make a platform appear. Cross the platform and go north at the fork to find 1000 gp. Now go back down and go east at the fork and up the stairs. Take the left route and go down the stairs. make your way to the northern end of the room to find an axe orb. Go back to the previous screen and head south. Go around the hallway and down the stairs.

Proceed around the room and walk between to whip posts and down the stairs. Step on the switch to move the wall on the right. Walk over to the right and up the stairs. Use the whip to cross the gap, and head up the stairs. In the next room, head up the stairs again.

You will enter a room with a lot of torches and an orb in the middle. Use Undine's magic on the orb to extinguish all but two of the flames. Walk between them to cause the platform in the middle to rise up out of the ground. Walk up the stairs. You enter a room with the Minotaur.

Boss Fight: Minotaur
My Levels: Boy - 30, Girl - 30, Sprite - 30
The minotaur is a pretty strong guy. He will try to punch you and ram you with his horns (which can extend). He is weak to Sylphid magic, so blast him with Thunderbolt. It took me about 4 shots of level 3 Thunderbolt to finish the guy off. For defating him you get a Javelin orb.

After defating him proceed north. You will enter the seed shrine. Walk up to the seed and seal it with your sword. Once the seal has been set in place, use the Magic Rope to exit the Fire Palace. Make your way back to Kakkara. Back in town, things seem hopeless. The mana seed has not brought back the water, and the only way to get it is with a Sea hare's tail.

With nothing left to do here, it is time to head to the Empire. Go over to the cannon travel and you will see the new option.

Section 4:	The Empire

--------
Part 17:	South Town
--------
When you arrive in the town, explore and tlak to the townspeople. Also be sure to get the latest and greatest equipment from the item shop. Go to the right side of town and you will see a strange person that runs when you approach. He tells you to go away, so do just that for now. Head to the west side of town and you will see a strange woman run inside of her home when you approach. Go inside and talk to her. She tells you that her name is Mara, and she is a spy. She knows all about you, and suggests you head to North Town via the sewers that the guy from before was guarding. She also tells you the secret code, "634".

Head back to the person that told you to go away earlier. After entering the right code, he will let you pass. Go into the door to enter the sewers. Make your way north and head down the stairs. Head south and make go into the doorway to get to the next room. In the next room, make your way to the south again, and head through the door on the left. It is kind of hard to tell where it is, so just keep to the left and you will find it.

Continue heading south, and again you can find the door on the left side. In the next room, make your ay to the north western corner to find a stair case. Go up it to reach the next level. Work your way to the south, and then over to the west to find another staircase. Go up it to emerge in house.

When you enter, a group confornts you. The leader, krissie, explains that they have been talking to Jema, and that they are the Resistance. The resistance has spotted someone called "Dyluck" in the ruins to the east that seems to be draining people's energy, just like in Pandora. Clearly, this is the asme Dyluck as before. When she is done talking, head upstairs, and continue along until you exit the house. This is North Town.

	Iffish
	Dino Fish

--------
Part 18:	North Town
--------
Here, again, you can get new equipment, so be sure to stock up. Watt's is in the baseent of the inn, so be sure to have him upgrade any weapons you can, as well. When ready, head to the north east side of town and go up. This is the ruins. Make your way north to the steps and you will see an old friend. It is Phanna, and she still seems a little wacko. The Girl tries to "talk" some sense into her, and Krissie shows up to take her to a doctor. After she leaves, head north into the ruins.

Inside, head up the stairs on the elft and go into the door. Keep going along this path and eventually you will be outside next to a treasure chest. OPen it to receive a Spear Orb. Head back to the main room, and then go into the door on the right upstairs. Again, follow the path until it takes you outside to find a Bow's Orb in a treasure chest. After you grab the chest, head back to the main room.

Go into the large doors in the center of the room. Go down the stairs on the leftside of the room. Figh the Grave bats and continue south into the next room. Go past the drops to the door at the bottom. You will enter a long hallway. Go past the first door, as it is jsut a dead end, and make your way to the end of the hall. Go through the door at the end of the hall.

Follow along the path and you will enter a lrage room. Spikes block both a door and a switch. Mae your way south to find a door, and head into it. Fight your way along the path and you will eventually come to a switch. Step on it to get rid of the spikes. Back in the large room, the set of spikes surronding the switch and the door is gone, so you should head into the door. Inside you will find a Sword Orb. Now go and step on the switch that was surronded by spikes. This will cause a door to appear behind you. Go into the door, and make your way along the path until you reach another room with spikes. Navigate your way thoghur the spikes to find a switch. Stepping on it removes all of the spikes, which allows you to go through a big dor at thetop.

Make your way along the path, and suddenly you will enter a boos fight.

Boss fight: Doom's Wall
My Levels: Boy - 33, Girl - 33, Sprite - 33
This guy is like the Wall Eye you fought in the Pandora Ruins. It says that his weakness is Lumina magic, but since you don't have that, just use Gnome. Ignore the eyes to te side as they are pretty harmelss. They can cast Energy Absorb, though, so be sure to keep your health up. The Doom's Wall can cast Cure Water on itself, so it is best to cast spell after spell so that he cannot cast it. For defating him, you get a Whip's Orb.

After the fight, a door that the Doom's Wall was blocking will now be acessible. Head through it. On top of a platform is Dyluck. The Girl, happy to see him, rushes over. He steals her life energy, and the Boy tries to talk some sense into him by giving him a smack. He realizes what he has done, and directs you to the door up top.

Inside is Thanatos and the Girl. He casts a spell on you, paralyzing you. Suddenyly, the Girl awakens and you become freed because Dyluck sends some of his power. Thanatos, not wasting any time, flees, and leaves his Vampire to take care of you.

Boss Fight: Vampire
My Levels: Boy - 33, Girl - 33, Sprite - 33
The Vampire is weak against Lumina, which like in the previous battle, you do not have. So, just use whatever your strongest magic is. He jumps around and tries to claw you, which can make hitting him difficult. He can also cast Sleep Ring and Energy Absorb. Just keep hitting him with your best spells and don't worry too much about attacking him. Deafting him garners a Boomerang Orb.

After the battle the Girl looks for Dyluck, but he is nowhere to be found. Leave the ruins and head back to town. The first stop is Krssie's house. Inside, they tell you that the Emperor has proposed a truce, and they are going to go talk to him.

Part 19:	Emperor's Castle
--------
make your way to the castle. Inside you will only be able to go along one route, as guards will be blocking the other ways. Follow the path to reach the conference room. INside, no one is there except the Emperor. When you tlak to him, he reveleas his true intentons, and captures you.

Inside the cell, you are joined with Krissie and her gang again. Talk to the solider guarding the door. He will open the door for you, and then push you into a pit. Down below waitsa surpise for you, the metal mantis

Boss Fight: Metal Mantis
My Levels: Boy - 34, Girl - 34, Sprite - 34
This guy is a piece of cake. He attacks just like the Mantis Ant did witha few new tricks. He has no weakness to magic, so just blast him with your strongest attacks. He should fall pretty quickly, so conserve your MP for later. For defating him you get a Glove orb.

After the fight step on the switch that appears in the middle of the room to get transported out. Make your way left and use the little yellow guy to push you to the other side of a gap. Make your way north to find a treasure chest with 1000gp, and then head through the door. In the next room, go up the stairs.

You will appear back in the jail where you were held captive. Step on the switch to free the others. After you free Krissie and crew, head to the left and go up the stairs. Go through the door past the emberman to go outside. Make your way over to the right sideof the castle and go into the tower. Step on the switch between the Armored Men to open the gate, and head up. In here are two treaures: an axe orb, and a Whip orb. Once you get the treasures go back outside and into the main part of the castle.

Inside, make your way up the left staircase (not the one you went up earlier to the conference room). Go down and through the door to appear outside again. Head through the large double doors. Go north to find a switch. Stepping on it causes a door to appear, so head through the door. Go up the stairs to enter the barracks. Make your way right and go around the room to find a staircase.

In the next room, step on the switch on the right side of the room to get teleported the left side of the room. The switch on this side is a fake one, so step across it and head through the door. Inside is the throne room, where you will find the Emperor and all of his henchmen. He leaves Gesthar to take care of you.

Boss Fight: Mech Rider
My Levels: Boy - 36, Girl - 36, Sprite - 36
Like before, he rides on a floating vehicle and tries to ram into you. He can also shoot missles at you which will follow you as you move. Again, use your strongest magic and attacks since he does not have any weaknesses. This guy like the Metal Mantis, should not be hard at all. For defeaing him you get Javelin Orb.

After the fight, you discover that he doesn't plan on going down without a fight. He starts burning down the castle, trying to take you with it. Suddenly King Truffle appears. Go over to the right to talk to him. He explains that Flammie, the dragon, brought him here, and he wants to help you escape. Flammie swoops down and picks you all up. Take the King back to Matago, which is to the South West.

After you drop the King off at Matago, he suggests you visit the Lofty Mountains to the South West, so that is what you must do.

He will give you a Moogle Belt in return.

Now make your ay back to Gaia's Navel. Look for the cheif near the bottom-middle of the area. Talk to him to receive the midge mallet.

Part 21:	Lofty Mountains

When you ride Flammie over to the Lofty Mountains, you will see a town in the mountains. Land there. This is Mandala, home of Sage Joch. Stockup on supplies at the store, and talk to all of the townspeople. You can find Watts in the house on the south western part of town. There really isn't a whole lot to do at this town, though you can explore the temple to the north. Inside you will find orbs from an ancient time that the people refer to as "Veedioso", or better known as "videos". When you are finihsed exploring, leave the town from the southern exit.

Make your way along the path, and ignore the cave for now. We will come back to it later. Continue along the path, and use the whip to cross the gaps. At the top you will find Neko the cat, so be sure to buy supplies if you need it. At the top of the path is a cave. Head inside to find Jehk, Joch's assistant. He informs you that Sage Joch is in the Palace of Darkness, which was in the cave that you passed before. So head back down the mountain and go inside the cave.
