Walk into the main room and approach the sparkling light. Once you reach it, press A and type in the password (LARA) using the buttons on the controller as the letters.

How do I open the strange doors and black boxes that are "sealed with a mysterious force"?

At a certain point in this game, Marle's pendant will become charged with magical force. At this point, you can return to these locations and open them. See the sealed chests page for more information.

When trying to get magic from Spekkio he keeps saying that I am cheating. What's going on?

First off, make sure that you are going around the room Clockwise. Once going in the right direction, just make sure to stay as close to the wall as possible and do not go around any fewer or more times then necessary (3 times total).
